Cheating with … Google

I know that you are probably now scrambling about exploring topics for your independent study project. As you do so, try to resist the ‘old habits’ of Googling without thinking. Remember the research workshop you did with Emily from the library and recording/archiving information with me.

Use the Google ‘Cheat Sheet’ (http://www.google.com/help/cheatsheet.html), use Endnote links from Google results to populate your Endnote database, and make a note of ALL searches you conduct on your blogs.
And please remember: don’t expect to find everything you need on the internet. Some documents remain blissfully analogue! Others require you to log in to access them. Get to know the library website and … ask for help when you get lost.
